* Hoang Quan Consulting-Trading Service Real Estate Corporation (HQC) has decided to spend over VND173 billion buying shares of Binh Minh Port Joint Stock Company to hold a 34 percent stake in the latter

* Au Viet Securities Company has registered to buy 750,000 shares of Vung Tau Real Estate and Construction Co (YRC) from November 1-30.

* Binh Duong Mineral and Co Construction Company (KSB) has announce November 6 as the ex-dividend date for shareholders to receive 2012 first round dividend in cash at 12 percent.

* Petroleum Securities Inc. has offloaded nearly 502,000 shares of An Phat Plastic and Green Environment Co (AAA) to reduce its ownership from 8.4 percent to 3.3 percent.

* Cu Chi Commercial and Industrial Developing Investment Co (CCI) obtained VND298 billion in revenue and VND16.9 billion in after-tax profit in the January-September period or 70 percent and 60 percent of this year’s targets respectively. The enterprise has plans to gain VND124.7 billion in revenue and VND11.2 billion in after-tax profit in the last quarter of 2012.

* 565 Joint Stock Company has bought 277,000 shares of Saigon Infrastructure Real Estate Investment Company (SII) to spur its holding from 4.9 percent to 5.6 percent.

* Khanh Hoa Power Company (KHP) has announced November 7 as the ex-dividend date to advance 2012 first round dividend in cash for shareholder at 5 percent.

* Viet A Commercial Bank has sold over 145,000 shares of Dam Sen Water Park Corporation (DSN) to reduce its ownership in the latter from 12.7 percent to 11 percent.

* Ocean Commercial Bank from November 1-20 will give tickets of K-Po Festival 2012 and OceanBank Visa-credit cards for customers depositing from VND30 million.

* Hoa Binh Construction and Real Estate Corporation (HBC) last week began the construction of the body of the Star Hill residential project invested by Phu My Hung Co. in HCM City’s District 7 and the expanded Bosch plant in Dong Nai Province.

* The 21st Vietnam International Jewelery Exhibition will be held in HCM City from November 1-5. The annual event, the largest Gem and Jewelery show of its kind in Vietnam, will draw 120 domestic and international exhibitors from Hong Kong, Italy, Singapore, Thailand and the US.

* The Ascott Limited, based in Singapore, has said to increase its serviced apartment management in Vietnam in a deal with CapitaLand to manage 100 SomersetVista serviced apartments of The Vista project in HCM City’s District 2, increasing the total number of serviced apartments managed by Ascott nationwide to 1,60’0. Ascott will manage more apartments in the future, including Somerset Central TD Hai Phong in 2013 and Somerset Danang Bay in 2014.

* Saigontourist Cable Television (SCTV) has announced a new monthly subscription of 109,000 dong- a whopping rise of almost 24 percent from the old fee and will be applicable from next month. The fee increase results from the high copyright fees of television programmes and sport tournaments. However, customers can still enjoy the old monthly fee of VND88,000 per month plus two months free if they pay the year’s subscription by tomorrow.

* Sony and Bkav Corporation have signed a cooperation deal to integrate the protection software Smartphone Bkav Mobile Security for Sony’s Xperia smartphones. This software blocks spam and identifies the location of the smartphone in case it is lost or stolen.

* Hanoi Housing Development Investment Construction Joint Stock Company No.7 (Handico) has launched the second sale of the Tay Ho Residence project’s CT2A tower in Hanoi City’s Tay Ho District. Covering an area of 24,000 square meters, the project consists of four towers and a villa area.
